Volvo Car Corporation will begin selling cars in India
Volvo Car Corporation has decided to introduce its cars in India, with sales scheduled to start during the fourth quarter of 2006. The new subsidiary, Volvo Car India, will have its head office in Delhi. Volvo Cars will start its product introduction with the Volvo S80 and the Volvo XC90 and the plan is to introduce more models on the Indian market in due course.

Ford GT40's greatest moment to be relived at Goodwood Festival of Speed
On the afternoon of the 19 June, 1966, as the hands on the famous clock at the end of the Le Mans pit wall crept towards 4pm, three Ford GT40s swept through the circuit’s final corner towards the finish. With their headlamp beams reflecting off the rain-soaked tarmac, they closed ranks to complete the race only feet apart.

Ford's world rally stars Marcus Grönholm and Mikko Hirvonen will drive the new 2006 Ford Focus RS World Rally Car publicly for the first time in Britain at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (7-9 July). They will demonstrate the car, which has already won three times this season in the FIA World Rally Championship, on both the famous hillclimb and the forest special stage at the prestigious historic motorsport event.

First Euro 4 FM’s for Marks & Spencer
Marks & Spencer is one of the first major UK companies to place an order for the latest generation Volvo FM’s with Euro 4 emissions compliant engines featuring SCR technology. The order is for 50 Euro 4 FM-400 4x2 Globetrotter-cabbed tractor units, which will be operated by Gist on behalf of Marks & Spencer and will be in the retailer’s own livery. All were supplied by Volvo Truck and Bus Centre Midlands and have been specified with Volvo’s I-Shift driver-friendly transmission. They will be based at RDCs at Thatcham and Bristol and they will be engaged on store deliveries, supplier collection and trunking.
