Japanese compact car specialist, Daihatsu, has introduced massive price cuts on more than 15,000 parts, with average savings of 49.7 per cent.

Latest-generation auxiliary brakes now available in the new Volvo FH and FM

VEB+ - the new generation of auxiliary brakes for Volvo’s trucks - is now being launched in the UK from this autumn on all Volvo FH and Volvo FM vehicles. Already available on the new FH16, this enhanced technology increases engine braking effect from 300 kW to 370 kW in combination with the D13A engine. Better braking performance contributes both to safer progress and to lower operating and maintenance costs.

Residual values of prestige diesel cars increase, despite huge rise in supply

The dramatic growth in sales of new diesel-powered cars – up 145 per cent to 897,887 units in the 10 years to 2005 – has led many in the motor industry to forecast significant falls in residual values as the supply of these vehicles into the used market rises. Volvo Trucks ranked top in two countries for corporate social responsibility
