RICS: Nationwide April house price index

Commenting on the Nationwide house price index, Simon Rubinsohn, RICS chief economist says: "House prices slipped back in April after edging upwards in March according to figures released by the Nationwide Building Society this morning.

Rate of house price fall slows down during March

Monthly house prices in England and Wales fell by 0.4 per cent in March, compared to a fall in February of 2 per cent according to the latest figures from Land Registry. The average house price is now £152,895, representing an annual decrease of 16.2 per cent.
