Branson says Kenya is back on track for tourism
Sir Richard Branson, President of Virgin Atlantic Airways today vowed to help Kenya to get back on track and increase tourist numbers. Virgin Atlantic, one of the world’s leading long-haul airlines, has also unveiled a new advertising campaign aimed at attracting more travellers back to Kenya.

Frequent flyers help build school facilities in Kenya
Sir Richard Branson, the President of Virgin Atlantic, last week helped to put the finishing touches to new school facilities in Kenya which have been partially funded by some of the airline’s frequent flyers. Sir Richard today joined hundreds of local schoolchildren and VIPS as he attended an opening ceremony at the Sekenani Primary School in the Maasai Mara in Kenya.

Air passengers switch to Virgin’s fast new terminal
Five months after the official opening last December of its new Terminal at Heathrow, Virgin Atlantic today announced outstanding customer feedback and performance results for the first few months of operation in the new facilities. The new terminal 3 is also attracting thousands of new passengers, with total long-haul passenger numbers up 4% in April. Upper Class sales were particularly strong, with a 10% increase in passenger numbers last month.

Ryanair announces changes to priority boarding service
Ryanair has announced changes to its optional priority boarding service which allows passengers to be first to board their flights. Airport check-in passengers currently pay £4 / €5 for this service, while web check-in passengers receive this service free of charge in order to promote online check-in.
Ryanair launches holiday rental site
Ryanair has announced the launch of Ryanairvillas.com which will give property owners the chance to advertise holiday rentals on Europe's largest travel site. In partnership with Web Reservations International, Ryanairvillas.com will afford property owners the chance to create and publish their own advertisements, including photos, maps and property descriptions, while providing the necessary online tools to manage enquiries and bookings.

Aer Arann wins majority in PSO tender
Aer Arann welcomes the announcement by the Minister for Transport that they have been awarded four of the six routes on offer in the PSO tender. The airline has won Derry-Dublin for the first time ever. It has also retained the Galway-Dublin, Sligo-Dublin and Donegal-Dublin routes. The contracts were awarded to Aer Arann following an open public tender process, conducted in accordance with EU Regulations.
