The 8x4 tractor unit is plated for operation at 150 tonnes GCW and forms part of an order for six trucks, the remainder of which will be Volvo FH-520 6x2 tag axle tractor units, plated at 80 tonnes.

Volkswagen sells heavy truck business in Brazil to MAN
Volkswagen AG is to sell its heavy truck business in Brazil to MAN AG, Munich. MAN will purchase Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus Indústria e Comércio de Veículos Comerciais Ltda (VW CO), Resende, for an enterprise value of €1.175 billion. Volkswagen anticipates that the sale will be completed in the first quarter of 2009.
