A brand new link road is already improving the lives of residents at Taylor Wimpey’s Great Easthall development of property for sale in Sittingbourne, Kent.

Sittingbourne Northern Relief Road connects Castle Road to the east with Ridham Avenue, Kemsley, just under a mile away to the west, via bridges over Milton Creek and Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway – and its arrival is good news for those living at the development of new build homes in Sittingbourne.

The new road greatly improves access between the new homes for sale in Sittingbourne at Great Easthall and the A249, as it means traffic will no longer have to travel through the town centre. It also means commuting from the Taylor Wimpey Sittingbourne development will now be much easier.

Jason Stokes, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “The new relief road is fantastic news for home-buyers at our Great Easthall development of apartments and houses for sale in Sittingbourne, with access to the popular commuter routes of the A249 and the A2 now vastly improved.

“By offering an alternative for drivers who would previously have had to travel through the centre of Sittingbourne, the new road will help make this lovely market town even more peaceful and pleasant.”

Taylor Wimpey has contributed funding towards the relief road scheme, which is jointly funded by housing developers, the Department for Transport, the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Kent County Council.

Great Easthall occupies a convenient location for commuters with easy access to the A2, M2 and M20, while rail commuters can benefit from regular services to London Victoria and Gatwick airport from Sittingbourne station – just over a mile from the new homes.

There’s a superb selection of high-quality homes currently available to reserve at the development, including stylish two-bedroom apartments priced from just £119,500 and spacious three-bedroom terraced and semi-detached houses available from £147,500 and £155,500 respectively.

Selected plots at Great Easthall are available with the fantastic NewBuy initiative, which will help first-time buyers and those looking to move up the property ladder to secure brand new homes with just a 5% deposit.

The initiative, available on brand new properties up to the value of £500,000, means that credit-worthy first time buyers may now only need to save a 5% deposit before they can get on the property ladder. Home movers with limited equity in their existing property will also benefit from the increase in availability of 95% loan-to-value mortgages.

Great Easthall enjoys an excellent position in the lively market town of Sittingbourne, where a good selection of major high street stores can be found, alongside pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes. The area is also home to a good choice of schools.

Nearby Faversham, Maidstone and the Medway towns of Chatham, Gillingham and Rochester widen the choice of shopping, sporting and leisure attractions.
