House builder hits a high note with sponsorship in Riccall

There's a double occasion for a spot of Union Jack waving and belting out of ‘Rule Britannia’ in Riccall this summer!

As well playing a part in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations next month, the patriotic village is also hosting its crowd-pulling Last Night of the Proms concert on Friday, June 22.

Once again, the hugely popular event is being sponsored by developer Linden Homes and will be welcoming eager Proms fans at the Regen Centre.

A host of entertainment is lined up for the evening, including the Barlby Foot-Tappers band and South Milford Brass – who recently become the North of England 2nd Section Brass Band Champions.

Steve Woomble, sales director at Linden Homes said: “We are once again delighted to be sponsoring this energetic and popular Last Night of the Proms concert – which has even more appeal this year as it plays a large part in Riccall’s own Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

“We hope everyone from the village - and of course residents from our own Richale Park development – will get into the spirit of things.”

Event organiser Howard Adamson added: “Our thanks to Linden Homes for their continued support of the concert, and we hope the whole community will join together for a memorable evening.”

Tickets for the concert, which starts at 7.30pm, are priced £3 and £2 and are available from the Regen Centre from mid-May or riccall.co.uk.
