Rita Ora’s all-time favourite dressing room playlist

25th June 2012 Print

Singer Rita Ora is well known for bringing the party vibe to her stage performances, and as fans prepare for the release of her new album, ‘ORA’ in September, Rita has shared her dressing room playlist, festival plans, and the artists she can’t wait to see this year with Amazon.co.uk.

She has exclusively revealed to the website the reasons behind her choices, which, like her street-smart lyrical style, feature everything from up-to-the-minute hip hop anthems to old school pop classics.

On her festival plans this summer

“I’m doing loads! Wireless, V Festival as many as I can! I love them, one big party and I can watch other people as well and be a fan as well as a performer.”

Who Rita’s looking forward to seeing

“Drake, Jay Z, loads of people! I love the less known acts as well. I saw Little Dragon at LoveBox they were amazing. The Hospitality Records tent knows how to have a party as well, they keep going for hours!  Everyone - I'm a big music fan I'm just happy to be in the festival spirit.”

Rita’s ultimate festival line-up

“Michael Jackson headlining, supported by JayZ and Beyonce.”

Pre-performance playlist

Mavado – Delilah: “It’s a Jamaican love song and so perfect.”

Vybz Cartel - Yuh Love: “This gets me in the mood to go out! Proper party tune.”

Kanye West and Jay-Z - N**gas in Paris: “You can just keep listening to it over and over! Such an anthem!”

Chase and Status ft Liam Bailey - Blind Faith: “This just makes me put my hands in the air! The make up team aren’t happy if it comes on when I’m in the chair!!”

Drake - The Motto: “This makes me feel like enjoying my night! Drizzy is one of the best and this is such a big tune.”

Coldplay – Viva La Vida: “‘It’s when I ruled the world!’ It makes me feel like I can do anything!! I was lucky enough to tour with them and this was so amazing live.”

Eve ft Gwen Stefani - Who's That Girl: “I love Eve, I love Gwen and this just makes me feel hot! Such a classic track for me.”

Azealia Banks – 212: “She's so cool! I really wanna party with her – it would be so much fun! I can’t wait to hear her album.”

Gyptian – Hold Yuh (Major Lazer remix): “This is such a huge tune!! It’s a love song like the Mavado track and so amazing at the end of a night when everyone is singing with their hands in the air. Diplo turns it into a big party tune with his remix!!”

DJ Fresh – The Power: “I’m loving this right now. It’s so good and Dizzee is amazing on it. Fresh does it again!”

Rita Ora’s new album, ‘ORA’ will be released on September 10th, but is available to pre-order now at Amazon.co.uk.
