Millgate brings new homes and its inimitable style to Hinksey Hill

Millgate will bring its inimitable style to Oxfordshire for the third time this year, with a new development in Hinksey Hill.

The new scheme, of four five-bedroom homes, follows on from the house-builder’s first two successful ventures: one in Marcham, which saw all of the homes at this development sold in quick timing; the second in Boars Hill, the show home at which picked up the title of ‘Best Family Home’ at the Evening Standard’s New Homes Awards 2012.

These four country homes, featuring an impressive 4,500 sq ft of accommodation, will be built to the same exceptional calibre for which Millgate is renowned, which discerning purchasers will be able to see at first hand, when the show home opens later this year, at the beginning of October.

David Wrigley, head of sales for Millgate, comments: “It has been a real pleasure introducing the purchasers of Oxfordshire to our homes. We understand the needs of the buyers in the area and design our homes to exceed their exacting standards. The fact that we have already had two successful developments in the area this year is testament to this – and we’re confident that it will be a similar story with our homes in Hinksey Hill.”

From the secluded, mature-tree setting and traditional façade to the contemporary internal specification, house-hunters will be enchanted by the charm and grandeur of Millgate’s homes.

Indeed, visitors to the show home in October, which will be transformed into a magnificent vision, to showcase the calibre of these properties, will find a light-flooded hallway, on the ground floor, which provides access to a vast open-plan living space, encompassing the kitchen, family room and an orangery, in addition to a separate formal drawing room, dining room, study and cloakroom. The first floor houses four of the bedrooms, including the master bedroom, which features an en suite, dressing room and private terrace. The second floor, meanwhile, has a fifth bedroom, as well as a huge bonus room, ideal for use as a games room or playroom.

Thomas Merrifield has been appointed as selling agents for the properties. Director Andrew Hearn comments: “Homes, such as the ones being built by Millgate, are certainly not ‘the norm’ in the area; to the contrary, they are the exception. They are the calibre of properties which people aspire to live in, so I believe they will attract purchasers who are planning to reside there and enjoy a range of splendid attributes for many years to come. The show home, when it opens, will undoubtedly demonstrate exactly just why that is.

“The location of these homes will also appeal to many. Hinksey Hill is in an ideal semi-rural area, which is close to the centre of Oxford and has good commuter links to the capital, for city workers. Plus, with a number of excellent schools locally, catering for all ages, families will find it a desirable place to set up home.”

Prices for these homes will start at around £2m. To find out more, register your interest in advance. visit millgatehomes.co.uk.
