For those craving the atmosphere of the seaside and the tastes of the ocean, The Granville @ Barford has the perfect treat in store. The award-winning dining pub is hosting another of its annual and extremely popular ‘Seafood Festivals’ from Tuesday 18 – Saturday 22 September. Customers will be able to enjoy a wide range of delicious fresh seafood dishes from produce delivered daily.

Starters will include Shellfish Bisque, King Prawns, Carpaccio of Tuna ‘Niçoise’, Moules Marinieres and a Smoked Fish Platter. Main courses include pan-fried Skate Wing, Monkfish Tail, Cornish Hake, Sea Bass and a classic Provençal Bouillabaisse. A selection of wines will be available to accompany the dishes with personal wine recommendations provided by the experienced staff. The Granville will also be running its normal menu featuring The Granville's pub classic dishes.

Val Kersey, Proprietor, stated “We are delighted to be hosting another special Seafood Festival which is always popular. Instead of travelling to the seaside, customers can look forward to savouring the delights of some fantastic dishes here in Barford. Seafood is one of the healthiest, most convenient and delicious foods available!”

Studies have proved that the best sources of good fats, vitamins and minerals to promote good health are found in seafood and nutrition experts recommend that we should be eating at least two portions of fish every week. Seafood also provides important sources of omega-3 fatty acids that protect the body against heart diseases and help lower blood cholesterol levels.
