Ashford offers new home-buyers stunning value for money

New research has shown that buying in Ashford offers home-buyers fantastic value for money when compared with the equivalent properties in the south and east of London.
Brand new four bedroom houses are available in Ashford at just one third of the price per square foot that you would pay for a property in the bottom 10% of the price range in East London. Homes in areas such as Hackney and Stratford average £525 per square foot whilst the average price for even the cheapest 10% of properties in the area is still £375 per square foot according to recent research published by Jones Lang LaSalle.
Contrast that with new research from leading developer, Fairview New Homes, which shows that a brand new four bedroom home at Evolution in Ashford is available for just £132 per sq foot, and it becomes obvious why more and more people are looking to Ashford as a place to live.
The historic market town has a lot offer the new home buyer. Set amongst the famous field and farms that have led Kent to be known as the ‘garden of England’ Ashford is still only a 40 minute train journey from the centre of London. A commuting time comparable with the outer zones of London but with the ability to get so much more house for your money.
Ashford is also one of the government’s key growth areas. An estimated £2.5 billion development strategy is in place that will create 28,000 new jobs in the area and the iinvestment into the town is creating a new centre that combines modern shopping malls and pedestrianised streets with first-class leisure facilities and popular cultural attractions.
Fairview is confident that its new homes at Evolution offer the very best value in Ashford. The four bedroom houses, which are available from £199,950, represent a price per square foot of just £132, some £68 per square foot cheaper than those of its closest competitor.
The development at Evolution is a collection of one and two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom houses, which are set around peaceful landscaped gardens. The stylish new properties have open-plan living areas and fully-fitted kitchens, with fan ovens, electric hobs and washer-dryers. Each house and apartment is built with the environment in mind, with heating and hot water provided by a condensing boiler and a renewable energy system, and minimum 75% energy efficient light fittings.
Steven Allenby, Sales & Marketing Director of Fairview New Homes, comments: “Ashford undoubtedly offers fantastic value for money and at Evolution we are proud to offer the best value new homes in the town.”
Prices for new homes at Evolution start from £119,950 for the final two-bedroom apartment, £165,550 for a three-bedroom house with a garden and £199,950 for a four-bedroom house.
