In the run-up to Valentine’s Day, Sauterelle restaurant in London and Boodles fine jewellers are joining hands to propose a dazzling dinner menu: a luxurious six-course meal served with a 1.5-carat diamond engagement ring.

The menu will be available from 7th-21st February 2013. Priced at £6,250, the stunning tasting menu will be served alongside a beautiful Boodles Vintage Ashoka-Cut Diamond Ring for a fairy-tale ending to a romantic dinner.

The Valentine’s Day menu starts with Scallops just-warm with caviar d’Aquitaine and a Tasting of Sussex beetroots with whipped goat’s curd and toasted pine nuts, followed by Seared red mullet with ratatouille, basil oil and mullet soup to share and Goosnargh duck breast, caramelised chicory, shallot purée and baby watercress. The meal elegantly concludes with La Fromagerie cheese selection with home-made crackers and chutney; Buttermilk panna cotta with Lincolnshire rhubarb and Champagne granité; and Tea, coffee and petit fours.

The final touch is, of course, Boodles’ Ashoka-cut diamond ring, exclusive to Boodles in the UK and customised to give off an incomparable sparkle. This 1-carat diamond with 62 facets is renowned for both its rarity and its brilliance, and is surrounded by a further 0.55 carats of round brilliant-cut diamonds on a platinum band.

The Sauterelle Valentine’s Day Menu is also available without the diamond ring, and is priced at £55 with a glass of Champagne and £85 with wine pairing.
