As the average age of a first time buyer continues to rise, Redrow is offering young families who are looking to escape the rental trap a lifeline in Wrexham.

The award-winning housebuilder is offering an incentive that could reduce the initial outlay for a new three-bedroom home at Yale Walk by 15%.

The average age of a first time buyer is now 35, according to a survey by Post Office Mortgages, so the help available will be welcome news for would be home owners especially those with young families who are looking to step onto the property ladder.

Yale Walk is the newest phase of Redrow’s development off Mold Road. It, features traditional looking three and four-bedroom family homes from Redrow’s ‘Arts & Crafts’ influenced New Heritage Collection.

Current prices are from £179,995 to £215,995, but through Redrow’s easi:buy incentive, customers can put off paying 15% of the purchase price for up to 10 years.

It means that a three-bedroom detached Warwick, one of Redrow’s most popular designs, can be bought for just £179,995. The outstanding balance can be repaid when the customer has more funds available or comes to resell.

Anita Williams, sales director for Redrow Homes (NW), says: “Rather than being a single person or young couple looking to fly the parental nest, first time buyers are now just as likely to be a family with young children trying to escape the rental trap.

“Setting up home and raising a family are two of the most expensive things in life and it can be tricky enough to save for a deposit while paying rent, without factoring in the cost of bringing up children. But thanks to our ‘easi:buy’ scheme, those who long for a home of their own could find it’s easier than they anticipated as they’ll need to borrow less and savings of around £9,000 be enough to secure a three or four-bedroom family home.”

Alternatively, with part exchange you may be able to use your existing property as part payment for a new home at Yale Walk.

Anita added: “Part exchange is the quick, easy and stress free way to trade up to a brand new home. We effectively act as a cash buyer, ensuring a guaranteed sale for the customer’s existing property.”

At Yale Walk, behind the traditional looking exteriors are bright, modern interiors with convivial open-plan living areas, quality fixtures and fittings and a host of family friendly features. Kitchens feature floor to ceiling height cabinets and extra wide drawers, as well as top brand name integrated appliances including oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer.

Anita added: “These incentives combined with the fantastic benefits of owning a brand new home make a fantastic opportunity for those wishing to take that first step onto the housing ladder. They’ll have none of the repairs, renovations or redecoration costs often associated with buying an older, second hand property. New homes are also built to be more energy efficient so should be cheaper to run, meaning there’s money left for that extra special family holiday or sparkling new family car.”

Situated off Mold Road, the development is only a short distance from all the shops, bars, restaurants and other amenities of Wrexham town centre but also enjoys easy access to the A483 for onward travel to Chester, Liverpool and Manchester. The beautiful countryside, leisure pursuits and tourist attractions of North Wales are also easily reached.
