Local people benefit from affordable homes scheme

An affordable home ownership scheme in conjunction with Taylor Wimpey North West is proving its worth at The Groves development in Penyffordd, where seven properties have sold and completed under the initiative.

The Tai Clwyd scheme allows you to purchase 100 per cent of a Taylor Wimpey home with just a five per cent deposit, and only pay a mortgage on 70 per cent of the market value of the property, significantly reducing your monthly repayments.

It has been so popular with Flintshire house hunters that the last property under the scheme on this phase has just been reserved. Interested parties are therefore being encouraged to register for the next phase of beautiful homes available with the discount.

David Hnyda, regional sales manager for Taylor Wimpey, said: “This scheme has been extremely popular at The Groves and it’s easy to see why. Many purchasers are still finding it difficult to get a foot on the property ladder due to deposit and mortgage requirements. We want to help and by offering this scheme we can.

“If you’re currently living within Flintshire and are looking to move home in the local vicinity, but don’t believe you have the finances to do so, I’d urge you to come pay us a visit and find out how we can make it happen.”

The scheme is eligible to households which earn less than £45,000 per year and have close connections to Penyffordd.

Taylor Wimpey North West’s development The Groves currently offers a beautiful selection of three and four bedroom family properties surrounded by stunning countryside. Prices start from £189,950 for a three bedroom Ingleton design.
