Italian restaurant Primo launches live jazz nights

Italian restaurant Primo on Shaftesbury Avenue is set to host twice weekly live Jazz nights, Primo Sessions, every Thursday and Friday evening. As of Thursday 18th April, Primo will be upping the tempo, transforming the restaurant from a classic Italian eatery into something a little more special. With the desire to bring back some old school charm and glamour to the West End, the restaurant invites guests to dine in style, whilst listening to the best live Jazz that London has to offer.

The Vodka Martinis have the pleasure of launching the first Primo Sessions. A highly experienced Jazz trio - the band will delight diners with their upbeat and eclectic Jazz stylings on the Vibraphone, Double Bass and Guitar. Having played at some of London’s leading live music venues, including the illustrious Dover Street Wine Bar, as well as working with the likes of Shirley Bassey and Charlotte Church, Primo is delighted to welcome The Vodka Martinis to the restaurant.

The weekly sessions will create the perfect ambience for wining and dining, with a selection of live Jazz and swing classics playing from 7.00pm through to 11.00pm, these nights are not to be missed. Unlike other music venues in the capital, there will be no cover charge for Primo Sessions, simply enjoy the sounds of smooth Jazz combined with an impressive bar menu, and the best of authentic Italian cuisine.

The restaurant will be extending its bar space, offering a dedicated drinking area for those looking to enjoy some post-work drinks and a selection of delicious small plates. Sample a bottle of the finest Italian wine from their extensive wine list, starting at £20.50, or indulge in one of their classic cocktails such as a Raspberry Bellini, Negroni and the infamous Primo Mojito made with Aperitivo Poli, available for £7.50 each.
