Chatham homebuyers looking to secure a new family home with a unique twist should visit Countryside Properties’ award winning Horsted Park development over the weekend of the 18th and 19th May. Four 4 bedroom homes will be open for the first time, each individually designed to provide families with plenty of light and space with features including full height glazing, double garages and fully glazed conservatories.

With prices starting from £375,000, purchasers would require a 75% mortgage of just £281,250 thanks to the Government’s Help To Buy scheme.

Tony Travers, Managing Director of Countryside Properties’ New Homes & Communities Division comments: “Known as the ‘dusty shoe’ weekend, prospective purchasers will be able to view a variety of four bedroom homes during construction. This is the first time they will be able to walk around these four bedroom homes at Horsted Park and really get a feel for the size and shape of the properties. Each property is uniquely designed which means there will be something to cater for a wide range of tastes and lifestyles and with Help to Buy they are truly affordable.”

Each of the four award-winning homes offer spacious and stylish family living with integral conservatories offering plenty of light, four double bedrooms and excellent specifications. Designer features include increased ceiling heights and large feature windows. In particular one of the homes features a stunning fully glazed double gable to the front and a single gable at the back of the property overlooking a beautifully landscaped open space, whilst another benefits from a second rear garden space – a private courtyard.

Thanks to the new Help To Buy initiative recently introduced by the Government, purchasers can secure one of these homes with just a 5% deposit and make their mortgage payments more affordable. With prices starting from £375,000, purchasers would require a 75% mortgage of just £281,250 and the Government will provide an equity loan of up to £75,000 which is interest free for the first 5 years. The balance therefore required for the deposit would be £18,750.

Surrounded by open countryside, Horsted Park will offer an impressive mix of new homes suitable for all types of buyer. The development will also provide over 6.5 acres of open space, representing approximately 30% of the total site area.

Recently awarded “Building Project of the Year” at the Building Awards, the external designs at Horsted Park ensure that the homes are conceived as a series of "farmsteads". These houses take their cue from the rural vernacular of Kent farmsteads to produce a series of squares and courtyards with dwellings arranged around them to provide shelter, open spaces and a comfortable, domestic environment.

The mixture of new houses and apartments alongside new community facilities, as well as large open spaces, will attract interest from those wishing to move to a development that has everything on its doorstep.

Horsted Park benefits from all of the amenities that both Rochester and Chatham have to offer. The M2 is less than a mile away giving rapid access to the M20, M26, M25, the Dartford Crossing and London Airports as well as the channel ports and tunnel.
