A new housing development in Cranbrook is exceeding all expectations since it opened with a surge in reservations for its affordable homes.

Westbury Homes has sold 15 properties at Otter Way since it opened at Easter and the introduction of the Government’s new Help to Buy scheme is expected to boost sales further.

Katie Alderton, field sales manager for Westbury Homes South West, said: “Our homes at Otter Way are in demand as first time buyers and growing families look for an attractive property, but at an affordable price.

“The introduction of Help to Buy will assist anyone looking to step on or move up the property ladder. They only require a 5% deposit to move with the rest made up by a 75% mortage and a 20% shared equity loan, which is interest free for the first five years.

“Help to Buy provides another welcome boost for Cranbrook’s housing market and is an excellent opportunity for people to buy a new home with only a small deposit. I’d urge anyone looking to buy to come and see us. We’d be only too pleased to show you around Otter Way and explain the scheme in more detail.”

Westbury Homes Otter Way comprises a range of one, two, three and four bedroom homes aimed at both first time buyers and those needing a bit more space for the growing family. Prices start at £124,250.

The marketing suite is open seven days a week 10:00am – 17:00pm.
