Maidstone homes see a surge of summer sales

New Redrow homes in Maidstone have experienced phenomenal success in recent weeks, with properties at The Grange selling fast, and apartments at the venture selling out in just weeks.

Savvy homebuyers found exactly what they were looking for at The Grange, with all 28 apartments being snapped up in the space of just 16 weeks.

However, homebuyers who are still wishing to buy a Redrow home in the area still have a wide selection of two, three and four-bedroom properties to choose from at The Grange, on Sutton Road.

Kerry Jenkins, head of sales for Redrow Homes (South East), said: “Our apartments in Maidstone were incredibly popular. We have experienced a high volume of interest at the development and have been selling, on average, seven homes every month. The Grange ticks all the boxes for homebuyers in Maidstone, thanks to the high quality of the properties combined with the fantastic location and value for money.”?

Making a move to The Grange is even easier than previously thought thanks to Help to Buy. The government-backed scheme allows potential customers to purchase a brand new Redrow home for less, with only a 5% deposit and to enjoy lower monthly mortgage repayments.

Help to Buy enables those who have saved around a 5% deposit to take out an equity loan from the Government for up to 20% of the purchase price. This means they only need a 75% mortgage from their chosen lender and should be able to access much more competitive interest rates, thus making their mortgage repayments more affordable. For example, Nationwide recently joined the scheme with a fixed rate of 2.54% for two years.

Unlike previous ‘help’ schemes, everyone can apply for an equity loan through ‘Help to Buy’, not just first time buyers. It is available exclusively on new homes up to the value of £600,000.

A collection of homes is priced from £186,995 at The Grange.

The Grange is well placed in the delightful town of Maidstone which is well-equipped with shops, schools, leisure and recreational facilities, including the picturesque Mote Park just a short walk away. While the surrounding countryside and seaside towns offer ideal opportunities for walking, horse-riding, golfing, fishing or boating, and family days out can be enjoyed at Hop Farm Family Park, Maidstone Millennium River Park and Leeds Castle.

For commuters, a high speed rail service from Maidstone West station takes just 48 minutes to reach London St Pancras, currently running during peak times on weekdays; while Maidstone East station offers journey times to London Victoria or Charing Cross of around an hour.
