Nacho Manzano, founder and chef of two Michelin starred Casa Marcial in Asturias, Spain and Executive Chef of award-winning Iberica London, has gained yet another star for his sister restaurant in Gijon, La Salgar. Manzano brings his culinary expertise of three Michelin stars to the UK through Iberica’s three London restaurants where you can experience authentic Spanish cuisine, inspired by the beautiful mountains and the lush landscape of Northern Spain.

Managing Director of Iberica Restaurants, Marcos Fernandez Pardo, says; “This shows what we’ve known all along, that Nacho is not a chef who is limited to providing quality in just one restaurant, but is able to do this across a portfolio of restaurants. Iberica and London are lucky to have such an esteemed chef bringing authentic Spanish tapas to our shores.”

This award reinforces Manzano’s position as one of the world leaders in Spanish cuisine, coming straight after the Spanish Federation of Hospitality announced Iberica as the Best Hospitality Company of Spanish Origin in October 2013.

Highlighting the rise of Spanish gastronomy, Chef David Munoz was also awarded his third Michelin star for his restaurant DiverXO in Madrid.

6 Michelin Stars Under One Roof

Philip Corrick, the Executive Chef at the Royal Automobile Club, has invited these two acclaimed chefs, Manzano and Munoz, who now have 6 Michelin stars between them, to host a one-off exclusive event in London showcasing the very best of Spanish cuisine to a private audience of food aficionados.

Nacho Manzano and Iberica work hard to ensure only high quality, authentic Spanish ingredients from carefully selected producers are imported and used, to bring the very best in Spanish gastronomy, wine and culture to the UK.

Iberica boasts two acclaimed restaurants in Marylebone and Canary Wharf, as well as an outdoor restaurant in Cabot Square, Canary Wharf. Iberica has also confirmed the opening of a fourth site in the Zig Zag Building, London Victoria in Spring 2015, as part of its ambitious expansion plans.
