First-time buyers have a fantastic chance to get on to the property ladder for less at Taylor Wimpey’s popular Parc y Strade development in Llanelli with Help to Buy Wales.

The Welsh Government’s shared equity scheme is also available to existing homeowners, enabling them to trade up to a superb new home at this superb development with a loan of up to 20% of its full price – meaning they only require a 75% loan-to-value mortgage and a 5% deposit.

For example, the stylish two-bedroom ‘Douglas’ terraced house, priced from £116,995, can be secured under Help to Buy Wales. With an equity loan of up to £23,399, the purchaser only requires a mortgage of £87,746 and a deposit as low as £5,849.

The scheme is open to first-time buyers and existing home-owners purchasing new-build properties in Wales up to the value of £300,000.

Sara Taylor, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South Wales, says: “Help to Buy Wales offers the perfect solution for would-be buyers who until now have been struggling to step on or up the property ladder.

“Because Help to Buy Wales customers only require a 75% loan-to-value mortgage, they can access a much wider range of competitive deals from lenders, making their monthly mortgage payments more affordable.

“However, the launch of the scheme has been hotly anticipated, so I’d advise anyone hoping to take advantage of this initiative at Parc y Strade to get in quick, or risk missing out on their dream home.”

There is a choice of two, three and four-bedroom properties available to buy now at the development, priced from as little as £116,995.

Parc y Strade is an exciting new community located on the western outskirts of the thriving town of Llanelli in Carmarthenshire, close to the coast and picturesque countryside.

Sandy Water Park is right on the doorstep, perfect for relaxing lakeside walks, cycle rides and wildlife-spotting, as well as providing access to the Millennium Coastal Path and Llanelli beach.

Families will appreciate the close proximity of schools for all ages, including Welsh-speaking primary and secondary schools within walking distance, while the Graig campus of Coleg Sir Gar, a further and Higher Education College, is also close by.

The new homes benefit from excellent transport links, with the A4138 providing access to the M4 while Llanelli railway station, just over a mile away, offers services west to Carmarthen and West Wales, and east to Swansea, Cardiff and Newport.

Parc y Strade is perfectly located for the area’s many opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors, with eight miles of golden sands, a dry-ski slope, off-road bike trails and horse-riding at Pembrey Country Park, and the Machynys Peninsula Golf and Country Club for golf-lovers.

House-hunters can find out more about purchasing a home at Parc y Strade using Help to Buy Wales by visiting the Sales Centre, located off Iscoed Road, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, SA15 4BT, and open daily from 10am to 5pm. Alternatively, visit taylorwimpey.co.uk.
