Bite Me Pizza

Neighbourhood eatery, Bite Me Pizza, has now opened its doors in Notting Hill, bringing delicious, bespoke and signature pizzas to the capital. Founded by entrepreneur Chris Manessis, the pizzeria aims to provide fresh, high quality and sustainable food at affordable prices, welcoming customers to eat-in, in a 17 seat dining area, or takeaway.

At Bite Me customers can choose unlimited toppings from over 30 different ingredients, creating customised pizzas according to individuals’ tastes. The pizza dough base is made on site daily and from a flour mixture that contains Khorasan wheat (known to be easier to digest by gluten allergy sufferers and containing high protein content and antioxidants). The highest quality Italian tomato sauce is added to the base followed by the chosen toppings.   All the ingredients are sourced as locally as possible, from Britain to keep eco footprints down, and Europe for speciality meats and cheeses.

For those in a hurry, or too indecisive to choose, a menu of ten pizza favourites are available to order, including Bite Me’s signature ‘Posh Pizza'- creamy tomato sauce, mozzarella, bocconcini, prosciutto crudo, rucola, cherry tomatoes, parmesan flakes and truffle oil- and ‘Meatalica’- tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Napoli sausage, meatballs and red onion. Customers can finish their meal with an indulgent ‘Dessert Pizza’ filled with Nutella and dusted with icing sugar. A selection of London beers and Italian wines from family-owned vineyards are also available to complement the pizzas.

Sustainability is integral to the ethos of the pizzeria with electric ovens, biodegradable cutlery for deserts (made from corn starch), recyclable packaging and eco friendly lighting used to champion green thinking and help to reduce Bite Me Pizza’s carbon footprint. The restaurant has also been built to be as eco-friendly as possible with faux leather seating, reclaimed timber and distressed wood walls decorating the interior. Other in store products and brands are chosen based on their eco-credentials.

Open daily from 12pm, Bite Me provides fresh and quality pizzas at affordable prices. Founder Chris hopes to offer delivery in the near future, using the most carbon neutral method of delivery available, with the hopes that Bite Me Pizza will reach as many Londoners as possible.
