Lancaster London, overlooking Hyde Park, has just launched a new Afternoon Tea guaranteed to put a smile on guests’ faces.

New Executive Chef Ben Purton has created a fun yet traditional Afternoon Tea, with nostalgic candy inspired sweet treats such as: White chocolate truffle & raspberry lollypops with popping candy; Mini pistachio macaroons; and a Caramel & hazelnut tranche.

Fresh-out–the-oven scones (plain and raisin) will be served warm, with hotel-made strawberry jam and Cornish clotted cream.

Priced at £30, the new menu also includes savoury classics with a contemporary twist such as Egg & wild cress choux buns; Coronation chicken tartlets; Lancaster London smoked salmon sandwiches; Roast beef & horseradish sandwiches; and Cucumber sandwiches accompanied by a selection of fresh loose leaf teas. Guests are even presented with a mini sand-timer each to make sure their Novus Tea is brewed to perfection.

The Afternoon Tea is served on a traditional tiered stand, which has been cleverly setup so that each guest is served a beautifully presented individual plate. All crockery is by Wedgwood China, adding an extra touch of finesse to the presentation.

The new Lancaster London Afternoon Tea is served in the hotel’s sumptuous first floor Lounge Bar from 2pm until 5.30pm.

The celebratory Laurent-Perrier Champagne Afternoon Tea, priced at £40, is perfectly suited for baby showers and birthday parties. While for those seeking private use, the Park Room boasting views across Hyde Park is available for up to 100 guests.

Throughout the year there will be a host of themed Afternoon Teas tying in with movie releases and London events.
