The French ski chalet roof terrace returns to Coq d’Argent

Following the success of last year, City of London restaurant Coq d’Argent will shortly unveil Lodge d’Argent 2014; a traditional French chalet-inspired winter terrace. 

Running from 18th November until the end of February 2015, the Lodge will be decked out with vintage ski props and luxurious furry blankets for guests to snuggle up while enjoying indulgent dishes and cocktails designed in partnership with Hennessy Cognac. Situated above the hustle and bustle of the City on Coq d’Argent’s skyscraper terrace, Lodge d’Argent is the perfect winter retreat for locals and workers, and an ideal Christmas party venue. 

New for 2014, Head Chef Damien Rigollet has created a dedicated ‘Croque d’Argent’ menu, featuring alternative takes on the traditional Croque-Monsieur, such as: Croque-Fondu (Comte, Beaufort, Emmental and black truffle) and Croque-Raclette (Cured and smoked ham, raclette, mornay sauce and ratte potatoes). The dessert menu will offer dishes paired with Hennessy Cognac, such as: Ice chestnut and Martinique rhum parfait matched with Hennessy XO. Additionally, Damien has put together a menu of classic and contemporary French après-ski snacks, perfect for sharing. Dishes will include: Rainbow trout goujonettes, with chips, dill and honey mayonnaise; Venison burger with caramelised pear, cranberries and chips; and Raclette gratin with ratte potatoes and Alpine dry cured ham. 

There will also be a selection of winter warmer cocktails created by Bar Manager Pawel Rolka, great for guests to cosy up and enjoy alongside a few snacks, featuring: Alpine Sour (Hennessy Fine de Cognac, apricot brandy, lemon juice, aromatic bitters and egg white); and Ski Warmer (Hennessy fine de Cognac, 10 year old Ardbeg, ginger essence, lemon juice and honey syrup).  

Offering superb food and drink throughout the colder months and an inviting, winter-warming ambience, Lodge d’Argent will be the ultimate London destination this winter.
