More good news for families this New Year

30th December 2014 Print

Families Worldwide is experiencing a flurry of fight-inclusive holiday bookings following the chancellor’s abolition of APD for children under the age of 12.

Comment Mark Wright, founder of Families Worldwide: “The Government’s recent scrapping of Air Passenger Duty for children is great news for families.

“Our staff are now busy preparing the changed prices and looking forward to calling our clients to give them the good news on the extra spending money they’ll have in 2015.

“But we have more good news; following all the negative press about parents taking children out of school during term time and getting fined, we have taken the decision to shorten a number of our itineraries to keep them within seven days.

“This will enable parents to enjoy a seriously good adventure holiday during half term without falling foul of the law.”

For example the nine-day Taj & Tigers trip to India has been trimmed down from 11 days, departing on Saturday 14 February and returning on Sunday 22nd.

Highlights include an exploration of the pink city of Jaipur, a city tour of Old Delhi, a tiger safari in the Ranthambhore National Park, the Taj Mahal, an elephant ride following a visit to the Amber Fort, rickshaw ride, a Bollywood film and puppet show.

The holiday costs from £1349 per child (min. age 5) and £1499 per adult which includes flights, all transportation, 7 nights’ accommodation, some meals, activities as detailed on the itinerary and the services of a tour leader.

The 13-day Himalayan Adventure has been trimmed down from 13 days to nine, departing on Saturday 24 October and returning on Sunday 1 November.

Commencing in the capital Kathmandu, highlights include pottery making, village visits, white water rafting, hiking and overnight camp in the Annapurna foothills, Royal Chitwan National Park, bathing elephants and a Tharu Stick Dance with local villagers.

The holiday costs from £1649 per child, £1899 per adult which includes flights, all transportation, 7 nights’ accommodation, most meals and the services of a tour leader.

All Families Worldwide trips can be priced ‘land only’ for those who prefer to make their own flight arrangements.
