Over 81,000 properties have been purchased using Help to Buy since its launch in 2013; 81% of which were bought by first time buyers. Ideal for those looking to get on the ladder, Bellway is now offering the government-backed scheme on a selection of one bedroom apartments at Hampton Grange in Bromley, Kent.

With recent changes to the scheme, specific to London, purchasers will now be able to qualify for a 40% interest free equity loan on properties up to the value of £600,000. This means, along with the low five per cent deposit, a mortgage only needs to be secured on the remaining 55%.

Help to Buy London is available on a selection of one apartments within The Grange Apartments, a sympathetically restored Grade II Listed building, set within ten acres of peaceful private gardens in Sundridge Park.

Emma Denton, Head of Sales at Bellway Homes Thames Gateway, comments: “The raising of the Help to Buy equity loan from 20% to 40% in London is a game changer. It will enable more first time buyers to get on the property ladder, especially in a desirable location such as Sundridge Park, with its great travel links into Central London, making the one bedroom apartments at Hampton Grange perfect for this market.”

The Monmouth, a spacious one-bedroom apartment priced from £395,000 is a perfect example of the homes available with Help to Buy London at Hampton Grange. The living/kitchen/dining area is a bright, open plan area and the kitchen boasts integrated AEG appliances including oven, induction hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Bedrooms come complete with a fitted wardrobe and bathrooms offer crisp white sanitaryware and chrome fittings.

Residents at Hampton Grange will be well placed for a wealth of top high street brands and a diverse mix of entertainment, leisure and dining opportunities in nearby Bromley town centre. For more extensive retail opportunities, Bluewater Shopping Centre just a short drive away, offering over 300 stores, a cinema and a variety of restaurants.

Hampton Grange is well-connected, with Sundridge Park train station just half a mile from the development, offering peak time connections to London Charing Cross and Cannon Street in less than 35 minutes. Bromley South station, a short drive from Hampton Grange, boasts direct journeys into London Victoria and St Pancras International stations in as little as 22 minutes. Road links are also excellent with the A20, A232 and M25 all easily accessible.

Prices start at £395,000 for a one bedroom, available with Help to Buy London. A range of apartments are also available with prices starting from £650,000 for a two bedroom apartment. For more information on The Grange Apartments, visit bellway.co.uk.
