Medway has been named as one of Britain’s prime property hotspots by eMoov with high demand for homes moving it to fifth in the UK. Chatham alone has seen an increase in property prices of 6% in the last 12 months, making the town a worthy investment. Those looking to invest in this prime hotspot need look no further than award winning home builder Countryside’s Medway development, Horsted Park in Chatham, Kent.

The new collection, within the second phase at this highly popular development, offers a range of one and two bedroom apartments, coach houses and two to four bedroom houses which are now available for off-plan reservations. A selection of these properties are also available with Help to Buy, enabling investors to step onto or jump up the housing ladder with a smaller deposit. The Government backed scheme provides an equity loan from the Government of up to 20% of the value of any property under £600,000, leaving the homebuyer to find a deposit of just 5% and secure a mortgage of up to 75% for the balance.

Surrounded by open countryside, Horsted Park will provide over six and a half acres of landscaped parklands, representing 30% of the total site area. With the historic Fort Horsted on its boundary, the village style development has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate busy, modern day life, by providing new community facilities and large open spaces for residents to enjoy.

Iain McPherson, Managing Director of Countryside’s New Homes & Communities South Division comments: “Whether you are a family, a young professional commuting into London or a retiree seeking peace and quiet, Horsted Park is suitable for all types of buyers. Set within beautiful countryside but also within 40 minutes of London, it is no surprise that demand for properties in Chatham is so high and with the Help to Buy scheme, Horsted Park is even more affordable for homebuyers.”

The homes at Horsted Park come complete with a high quality specification and thoughtful layouts to make the most of the space. The stylish kitchens feature fitted sand coloured handleless wall units and stone coloured base units, with integrated appliances. Master bedrooms boast fitted wardrobes and family bathrooms have sleek white sanitaryware with chrome mixer taps and semi-recessed hand basins with rich walnut vanity units.

Perfect for the commuter into the capital, Chatham station is less than two miles from Horsted Park and direct rail services operate into central London in as little as 37 minutes, serving a range of mainline stations including St Pancras International, Victoria and Cannon Street. By road, the M2 is less than a mile away giving rapid access to the M20, M26, M25, the Dartford Crossing and London airports, as well as the Channel ports and tunnel.

Prices start at £210,000 for a two bedroom apartment at Horsted Park. For more information and to register your interest, visit countryside-properties.com.
