With the average three-bedroom property in London costing up to £820,000, it is easy to understand why buyers are jumping at the opportunity to invest in Castle Hill, Ebbsfleet, Kent. The new coming soon development, is perfectly situated for a speedy commute into London in 17 minutes, boasts a mix of spacious three, four and five-bedroom homes with prices in the first phase starting from just £359,995. With an early preview taking place less than three weeks ago by housebuilder David Wilson Homes because of high demand, Castle Hill has already attracted off-plan sales with the first phase almost sold, predominantly from growing families finding themselves increasingly priced out of the capital.

Castle Hill is Barratt David Wilson’s flagship development in the heart of Britain’s exciting new 21st century city, Ebbsfleet Garden City. This latest phase by David Wilson Homes will deliver 154 new homes to this transforming part of north Kent; predominantly luxury family houses as well as stylish apartments. A former quarry, Castle Hill will boast over 6,500 new homes when complete, with traditional Kent vernaculars running throughout.

Natalie Perry, Director of Sales and Marketing for David Wilson Homes, says: “Castle Hill will be a fantastic development once it is completed, and will provide much needed housing in the south east. With the development so well positioned for commuting into the capital, second steppers finding themselves forced out of the capital’s housing market because of increasing house prices are unsurprisingly snapping up the first properties to be released here.”

Castle Hill is well placed for the unrivalled Kent Thameside transport network with each home located within a five-minute walk of a Fastrack bus service stop. This week, plans for thousands of new homes, a market centre, an education campus and an urban park have also been approved.

A network of paths and cycleways will run throughout Castle Hill connecting the development to Ebbsfleet Garden City, which is also part of the Government’s Healthy New Towns programme. A commercial centre will form the heart of Ebbsfleet Central and the River Thames will also be opened up with promenade walks giving the public access to the waterfront for the first time in over a century.

Bluewater Shopping Centre is less than four miles away from Castle Hill by car, offering cinemas, a selection of restaurants and much in the way of retail therapy. Meanwhile, Dartford, is less than seven miles away, where there are more amenities like the traditional Dartford Farmers' Market with fresh produce from the local Kentish fields and orchards.
