Warrington drivers opt for E7
With ten new hackney licenses recently awarded in Warrington the successful applicants faced a tough decision with so many wheelchair accessible taxis now available.
However, when it came to the crunch the overwhelming majority of new license holders couldn’t see past the purpose-built New E7 from Cab Direct.
First to receive his brand new taxi was local driver Rafiq Khalil. He first experienced New E7’s modern features and comfort when Area Sales Manager Billy Caldwell demonstrated the vehicle at an event prior to the council’s decision on who would receive the new plates.
He had driven various types of hackney carriage over the years but never experienced the modern features of Cab Direct’s flagship vehicle.
When asked what he liked about New E7 Rafiq explained: “When Billy first demonstrated the vehicle for us I realised immediately that the E7 is undoubtedly the most comfortable taxi I’ve ever driven. I’ve also got a number of regular customers who’ve already mentioned how smooth it is.”

Rafiq added: “Even at this early stage I’ve felt a huge difference thanks to the EasyGlide ramp as it makes loading and unloading wheelchair passengers so much easier.”
“The fuel economy is also excellent so from a business point of view I’d like to think I’ve made a good investment.”
The E7 is already commonplace in towns and cities throughout the UK with more and more drivers making the switch to the purpose-built hackney of the future.
Rafiq continued: “All the new plate owners were well aware a number of options were open to us when looking at the various vehicles available. However, the one thing that we were all aware of is how many E7s you see on the road in other parts of the country. If they’re good enough for drivers in other places then I’m confident I have the best vehicle for the job.”
