Lock down for Thatcham Quality Accreditation

18th April 2008 Print

The Thatcham Quality Accredited (TQA) range continues to grow with the news that Locks 4 Vans Ltd (L4V), the UK’s largest independent specialist automotive lock manufacturer, has become the first company to have their automotive locks accredited under the TQA programme.

As with all products put forward for TQA, L4Vs “T” Series locks have been through Thatcham’s robust accreditation programme which includes an objective evaluation of the manufacturing process as well as providing independent test reports on the capability of the product itself, following vigorous attack testing.

Chris Batterbee Managing Director at L4V comments “Locks 4 Vans has reached a significant milestone in its development. In under five short years, L4V has grown to become the UK’s major independent vehicle lock specialist by concentrating on quality and service. The new style testing of product and manufacturing process by Thatcham gives motor industry wide recognition of our efforts.”

Thatcham’s Accreditation Manager, Dean Lander, said, “Thatcham are continuing to work with some of the top manufacturers and service providers in the UK to provide an independent certification of only the highest quality products. Thatcham's criterion for replacement and supplementary locking solutions is a timely addition to Thatcham's Quality Accreditation criteria for opportunist theft deterrents. Locks 4 Vans are to be congratulated as the first in their particular area to see the benefits of TQA.”

Locks 4 Vans will be exhibiting at Thatcham’s Triple Focus show, which takes place at the research centre in Berkshire on the 18th and 19th June. Visitors can find out more and book their free place at thatcham.org/triplefocus
