More space for Handistep at CV Show 2009
Since its launch to the UK market in 2001, Handistep has gone from strength to strength and with safety as one of the ‘big issues’, it is now recognised as an OEM approved key safety-related product for the light commercial van market.
“The CV Show is THE place to exhibit as far as we are concerned,” said Handistep’s Design Consultant, Mike Wood. “Such has been the company’s success at the Show in previous years that next year we will have a 10x9 metre purpose-built stand which will enable us to demonstrate vehicles with Handistep fitted. It will give prospective buyers and fleet operators the perfect opportunity to try out Handistep for themselves and discuss the features and benefits of this unique product.”
Designed to offer anti-slip, self-cleaning treads mounted onto a strong metal frame, Handistep has a full width safety step for operatives loading roof mounted equipment as well as loading in/out of high roof vehicles. This is an area which has become even more important since the introduction of the Corporate Manslaughter Bill, particularly the section covering ‘Relevant Duty of Care’ whereby fleet managers must carry out a full risk assessment covering safe loading and unloading of equipment as mobile workshops are now regarded as the operative’s place of work.
“We are really looking forward to next year’s CV Show,” concluded Mike Wood. “It provides the industry with the perfect shop window dedicated to what must be the UK’s most vital industry sector. In addition, it does a fantastic job of attracting new customers from the UK and Europe and gives us the opportunity to exhibit what is now regarded as an established safety-related product.”
The event will be held at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham from 28-30 April 2009. It is the fastest growing and most successful business to business event of its type in the UK and mainland Europe, with free entry available across the three day exhibition.
The Commercial Vehicle Show is owned by the CV Show Partnership, comprising the Road Haulage Association, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and the IRTE (Institute of Road Transport Engineers), a professional sector of the SOE (Society of Operations Engineers). Crystal Communications handles stand space sales and marketing for the Partnership.
