moneysupermarket.com: Broadband launch from the Post Office

22nd October 2007 Print
Commenting on the broadband launch from the Post Office, Jason Lloyd, head of broadband at moneysupermarket.com said: "The Post Office is entering the market with a decent set of broadband products which are simple and represent value for money. This will attract lots of people who are looking for easy broadband access at a low-cost.

“One of the unique features the Post Office is offering is the option to pay on a monthly basis at any of its branches. This will benefit the majority of the Post Office’s customers as a many of them manage their finances in cash.

“The two bundle deals offer particular value as they include line rental, eliminating the need to pay separate line rental to BT and a monthly fee to the broadband provider on top.

"The Post Office products will have great availability in the UK as they are a BT Wholesale product as opposed to LLU (Local Loop Unbundling). This should help the Post Office tremendously with customer service and make it easy for people to switch to their products.

“Overall I would say the Post Office has made an excellent entry into the market and this will no doubt prove popular with consumers that want a good value, highly transparent broadband or bundled product."
