BT Vision launches Bolly and Beyond

BT Vision BT Vision has launched Bolly and Beyond, the UK’s best value on demand service for South Asian films, TV, music and children’s programmes.

Viewers have the choice to watch programmes on a pay per view basis or subscribe to the Bolly and Beyond Pack to watch all of the content, for only £6.85 a month.

Bolly and Beyond features the latest Bollywood blockbusters such as Singh Is Kinng with Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and a cameo appearance from Snoop Dogg, Luck with Imran Khan and Sanjay Dutt, and Jodha Akbar with Hrithik Roshan and Aishwariya Rai, as well as golden classics like Anand with Rajesh Khanna, Sumitra Sanyal, Ramesh Deo and the celebrated Amitabh Bachchan.

The service also includes a selection of India’s most popular TV shows, such as India’s biggest celebrity talk show Koffee with Karan, high profile soaps like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu thi, cookery shows like India’s longest running and most popular Khana Khazana as well as family comedies like Instant Khichdi.

There is an area dedicated to children’s TV, where kids can enjoy the award winning animated series Jungle Tales, an adaptation of the “Panchatantra” Indian fables. and animated movies like Dashavtaa, based on the ten incarnations of Hindu God, Lord Vishnu. For music lovers, Bolly and Beyond offers a selection of the very best music videos from artists like Mohammed Rafi, Asha Bhonsale, Udit Narayan and Kishore Kumar.

BT has signed a five year deal with MoMedia International, a leading digital producer and distributor of entertainment backed by Endemol, and Shemaroo Entertainment, the renowned Bollywood film producer, to manage and supply content for the new on-demand service.”

Through Shemaroo, Bolly and Beyond will initially offer more than 200 hours of a wide range of South Asian entertainment on-demand, including half of all the Bollywood films being produced in India.”
