Continued Growth For BBC Radio 1

The figures - covering the period from 26 June to 17 September 2006 – show the network's reach is 10.58 million, compared to 10.33 million for the same period last year. The Chris Moyles show has 6.81 million listeners – up from 6.52 million last year.
Jenny Abramsky, Director for BBC Radio and Music, said: "I'm pleased to see the continued, steady growth of Radio 1, and our digital-only networks contributing to the rise in digital listening."
Chris Evans has also gained109,000 new listeners to his BBC Radio 2 drive-time show over the year, which now reaches an audience of 4.88 million people.
