After a make-over of its own, 10 Years Younger is back on Wednesday 29th November at 8pm on Channel 4, waving its magic wand over the prematurely old. As thousands of women begin preparing for the biggest party season of the year, we follow 4 women in their quest to look their best this Christmas.

Tough talking wardrobe mistress Nicky Hambleton-Jones returns to preside over the rejuvenation A- team: cosmetic surgeon Jan Stanek, cosmetic dentist Surinder Hundle, hairstylist Andrew Barton and make-up artist Ruby Hammer.

Brows will be lifted, noses re-shaped and wrinkles diminished. Surinder will give the previously toothless and dentally-challenged something to smile about. Hair and make-up will be thoroughly revamped and Nicky will cure our cast of oldies of their fashion faux pas.

This series, the trademark poll leaves the streets behind and heads for bingo halls, antiques fairs, and speed dating events all over the country, where members of the public guess the age of the contributor and deliver some harsh home truths.

When you’ve not yet hit 40 and are polled at 50 clearly something needs to be done. 10 years off is the aim but the team are facing some of their toughest challenges to date.

Dr Sarah Widd has spent her life being “absolutely jumbo sized” but has finally lost nearly 8 stone. After life long neglect her fat free face, sun-dried by four years in Africa, needs dragging back into shape to match her go getting personality. “I think I’d probably like my face re-surfaced… polyfiller would do!”.
