ITV1 To Launch Manhunt

The ten individuals featured in this studio based show are wanted in connection with a range of serious crimes including murder, rape, fraud, causing death by dangerous driving and burglary. The programme will also look at the worst cases of crimes which have shown dramatic increases in recent years such as mobile phone and identity theft.
Working with local police forces around the country these cases have been selected as some of the UK’s most hard to find individuals who have so far evaded arrest. The police have warned that in some instances they could be a serious danger to the public and all need to be caught.
A mixture of reconstructions, CCTV footage, dynamic studio items, interviews with criminal psychologists and victims will be used to present each case in detail. Working in conjunction with Crimestoppers, Mark and Sarah will be appealing to viewers with information to call the show. All calls will be anonymous and will be answered by Crimestoppers call handlers on 0800 555 111. Calls cannot be traced or recorded and callers do not have to give evidence in court. Viewers will also be able to read about the cases and give information anonymously via Crimestoppers’ online form at crimestoppers-uk.org/manhunt. All Information will be passed onto investigating police forces.
As well as trying to catch these men, Manhunt will also offer advice and suggestions of how to avoid being a victim of some of the crimes featured, such having your identity or mobile phone stolen.
