ITV2 To Dish Out Grammy Awards

The awards have 108 categories across 30 genres of music, from pop and rock to gospel and the nominations showcase who the recording academy's membership of music professionals believe are the best of the best.
A whole host of British artists have received nominations. James Blunt has received five nominations including Best New Artist, Record of the Year for hit single You’re Beautiful and Best Pop Vocal Album for Back To Bedlam.
Soul singer Corinne Bailey Rae is nominated for Record of the Year for Put Your Records On, as well as a nomination for Best New Artist.
Group Keane have been nominated for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal with Is It Any Wonder and singer/songwriter Imogen Heap is in the running for Best New Artist.
Leading the way is R&B artist Mary J. Blige with eight nominations, followed by rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers, who garnered six.
Last year’s awards were dominated by U2, who won five awards. Mariah Carey, newcomer John Legend, and Kanye West won three each, and Kelly Clarkson won two. Madonna and the animated group Gorillaz opened the show with a medley of Feel Good Inc. and Hung Up.
The Grammy Awards 2007 are exclusive to ITV2 and viewers will have to tune to see who walks off with the coveted gramophones.
