Steve Goldsmith Young British writer Steve Goldsmith, has published a collection of short horror stories titled Under Satan’s Umbrella: A Compilation of Twisted Tales, which will have horror fans instantly hooked.

Released by Publish America, the book is a horror anthology of 21 stories, including “The Wishing Urn” where a brothel owner offers wishes in exchange for eyeballs, and “It Was My Shadow” which sees a man tormented and drawn into murder by his own shadow. In the story “Chess”, a man is forced to play a deadly game of chess to save the lives of his family.

Steve Goldsmith, 27, commits himself to writing at least 2000 words a day at home in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, and his stories have been published in magazines and book anthologies across the UK, USA and India.

His interest in the horror genre began as a teenager when he would stay up late watching Hammer Horror re-runs and reading tales by his biggest inspiration, Edgar Allan Poe. He also began writing at a young age, which continued to improve and develop whilst he gained his degree in English and Media at Chichester University.

When he is not writing, Steve spends his time working as a volunteer in animal sanctuaries all over the world, including a recent trip to southern Africa to monitor rhinos and care for orphaned baby baboons. This summer Steve will be spending two months in America and Canada working with black bears and other native wildlife.
