More Exposure For Unsigned Artists

7digital today announces a partnership with Ricall, an online music marketplace that is used by TV, advertising, computer game and film producers. These professional music buyers will now see unsigned and independent indiestore.com artists added to Ricall’s music database of over 3 million commercially available tracks. This means that in addition to selling to the public, indiestore.com artists will now have the opportunity to get exposure to commercial music buyers and be in with a chance of getting their music on TV ads and programmes, films and computer games.

Indiestore.com enables unsigned artists and independent labels to build their own download store, earn cash from the sales of their tracks and secure a chart position in official charts in the UK, US and 20 other countries.

Ben Drury, MD, 7digital comments: “This is a great opportunity for indiestore.com artists to promote their music to an audience that would usually be inaccessible to unsigned acts.

Tracks featured in adverts often break emerging acts, for example Jose Gonzalez’s Heartbeats achieved great success after featuring in a television advert last year. There is no reason why indiestore.com artists can’t do the same.”

The partnership with 7digital follows Ricall’s commitment to support new and upcoming music though its sponsorship of the New Music Discovery Night series.
