Primeval Recommissioned

Following a strong start this winter, ITV1 is pleased to announce that its action adventure drama has been recommissioned for a second series. The project is due to go back into production later this year with Professor Nick Cutter and his team set to do battle once more with a host of new and even more incredible creatures.

On the re-commission Executive Producer Tim Haines says: “Impossible Pictures is incredibly proud of Primeval and we’re over the moon that audiences share our passion. ITV’s continued support ensures that Cutter and his team will be back to save the world in the very near future, or past, depending on which side of an anomaly you’re on!”

Nick Elliott Director of Network Drama for ITV says: “Primeval has had a wonderful response both from the public and from the press. We’ve opened up a new slot and a new family audience on Saturday night for ITV and the decision to recommission was not a tough one. We’re really looking forward to seeing Cutter and his team in action again.”
