New Harry Potter Front Cover Revealed

29th March 2007 Print
Harry Potter The front cover of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ has been revealed this week. The book, which is the seventh and final installment in the Harry Potter series, broke the 100,000 pre-orders barrier on Amazon.co.uk just two days after it was announced it would be published on 21st July 2007.

“The cover art has been an essential part of the Harry Potter phenomenon,” said Kes Nielsen, Head Books Buyer at Amazon.co.uk, “and with each new book the anticipation around the image has grown.

“The cover pictures have become as iconic as the books themselves, and it’s certain that the art will become highly collectible in the future. We have the title, we have the art…now we’ve just got to hold on for the book itself.”

“These are probably the most grown up covers yet. Even on the traditional children's cover Harry is really looking more like a young man than a boy - I guess that the same will go for many of his readers! Fans will be closely examining these covers for clues about the actual content of the book but it seems to me that JK Rowling has been as careful as ever not to give anything away. We'll all just have to keep waiting for 21st July.”
