Richard (Brad Pitt) and Susan (Cate Blanchett) are an American couple taking a holiday in Morocco following the tragic death of their young son. In an attempt to rekindle their marriage, their holiday takes an unexpected turn when Susan is shot. The story unfolds further and transcends through four continents linking a poor Moroccan family, the couple’s children and Mexican nanny back in the US and the troubles of a deaf Japanese teenager.
