Final Whistle For Sky One's Dream Team

Filmed at Milwall's football ground, Dream Team remains the only football drama to have included real premiership football coverage, using technology that allowed Harchester United to play against real-life Premier League teams.
Dream Team has also entertained numerous acting debuts from the intertwining worlds of sport and showbiz (see All Star Guest XI at end of release) including ‘Big Ron’ Atkinson, Andy Gray, Matt le Tissier, Les Ferdinand, John Barnes, George Best, Frank Leboeuf, Frank Lampard Jr, Dwight Yorke, Jordan, Jodie Marsh, Leilani, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Kirsty Gallacher.
Cast members who have gone on to carve out successful careers following their discovery on Dream Team include Gary Lucy, Nathan Constance & Chucky Venice (Footballers’ Wives), Phil Barantini (Band of Brothers), Martin Crewes (Daylight Robbery) and Alison King (Coronation Street).
Storylines have frequently mirrored and often proceeded real-life events from the footballing world, such as players’ gambling syndicates, bung scandals and points deductions for fielding illegal players.
Murder, blackmail, corruption, affairs, breakdowns and catastrophes have kept loyal audiences entertained and enthralled each week for the past 10 years, and the final episode won't disappoint. It's the final day of the season for the Dragons, and not only must they beat an in-form Chelsea side, but hope that Reading can defeat Manchester United.
But while the team are giving it their all on the field, a defeated, desperate Sully (Danny Husbands) is putting into action a deadly scheme that will not only ruin Harchester's title hopes, but destroy the club and endanger the lives of tens of thousands of people. Can he be stopped before it's too late? Will the ghost of Karl Fletcher (Terry Kiely) be able to influence the day's events? And can the Dragons experience Premiership glory for the first time?
Dream Team, Sky One, Sunday June 3rd, 8pm.
