Lauren Laverne & Zane Lowe Bring The Best From The Fest

The BBC are back in Balado to present a long weekend of unmissable live music at T In The Park 2007 with Lauren Laverne (The Culture Show) and Zane Lowe (BBC Radio 1, MTV) presenting the best from the acclaimed festival.

Key music moments from the prestigious festival (Friday 6, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 July) will feature across a number of BBC TV Channels as well as radio, online, interactive and HD – a reflection of BBC Scotland's commitment to the internationally acclaimed festival.

Network coverage on BBC Three and BBC Two comes courtesy of Lauren and Zane, with behind-the-scenes access from Dougie Anderson (Glastonbury, That's So Last Week) on BBC Three. Dougie will also team up with Shantha Roberts (The Music Show, MTV) for additional T In The Park coverage, exclusive to BBC One Scotland and BBC Two Scotland over the three-day festival.

Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe is delighted to be part of BBC's T In The Park coverage for 2007: "T In The Park rules! And this year's line-up is an awesome mix of headliners and future headliners. I am very much looking forward to working with the music and drinking with the beer".

Featuring a plethora of music performances, T In The Park 2007 includes acts such as the The Killers, Snow Patrol, Arctic Monkeys, Razorlight, Scissor Sisters, Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, The Fratellis and Paolo Nutini, amongst others. Lauren, Zane, Dougie and Shantha will take armchair music fans through three days of live performance which brings together 80,000 music fans, over 180 acts on 11 stages in one unforgettable weekend.

Growing in size from two to three days, the BBC's T In The Park coverage kicks off on BBC Three at 7pm on Friday 6 July at the exclusive event, open only to weekend campers at the festival, featuring sets from dual-Brit award winners Arctic Monkeys; anthemic soundscapists Bloc Party; Liverpool's finest The Coral; and pop icon Lily Allen.

And for the first time, all the main stage performances at T In The Park will be covered by HD cameras giving armchair music fans an up-close flavour of the festival. This HD footage will be aired from Friday 13 July exclusively on the BBC HD Channel. As well as extensive TV coverage, key music moments from this year's T In The Park will feature on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio Scotland, online and interactive.

Over the weekend there will be an exclusive red button interactive service across the weekend for digital viewers. Online performances will be also be available at the click of a mouse by logging on to bbc.co.uk/tinthepark where live video coverage and highlights from the sell-out festival can be found – all of which can be accessed up to a week after the event has packed up for another year.

Dougie is brilliant at getting to backstage places other presenters can't reach and we're delighted that he'll also be presenting BBC Scotland's coverage with rising talent Shantha Roberts.

“Alongside this year's other firsts such as our Friday night programmes and HD coverage of the main stage, it'll be a weekend of quality, rocking coverage on the BBC."

This year's T In The Park is part of BBC Scotland's year-long calendar of music celebrations – Scotland's Music 07. From festival fever to smooth jazz sounds, indie pop to classical proms, live gigs to Celtic jigs, Scotland's Music 07 celebrates a myriad of music styles across BBC Scotland Radio, TV and online – further highlighting it's place as the home of great music.

T In The Park 2007 offers a plethora of music from around the world including Saturday performances from Vegas starlets The Killers, along with sets from Razorlight, winsome experimentalists The Arcade Fire and festival favourites James. Final day performances come courtesy of Snow Patrol, the Scissor Sisters, Queens Of The Stone Age and Damien Rice, amongst others.

During its 14 year history, T In The Park has become a world renowned event and was recently voted Best Major Festival in the UK Festival Awards for the second year running. Tickets for T In The Park 2007 sold out in a spectacular 40 minutes.
