2 Hot New US Drama Series For Channel 4

Channel 4 and E4 have acquired exclusive broadcast rights to the eagerly anticipated new drama series Dirty Sexy Money and Reaper from Disney-ABC International Television.

Dirty Sexy Money stars Peter Krause (Six Feet Under) as an idealistic attorney Nick George. Nick finds himself negotiating on a slippery slope when the filthy-rich and morally flexible Darling family ask him to become their personal lawyer; a job previously held by his father who died under mysterious circumstances. Nick is soon pulled into the dubious doings of the Darling clan, where power, privilege and family money are a volatile cocktail.

The series features a heavyweight cast including Donald Sutherland, William Baldwin and Jill Clayburgh. The series is executive produced by Craig Wright (Brothers & Sisters), Greg Berlanti (Brothers & Sisters), Josh Reims (What about Brian), Matt Gross (Day Break) and Bryan Singer (Superman Returns).

Supernatural dramedy Reaper is about, Sam, a young slacker who has always wondered why his parents went so easy on his lazy ways… until the day he turns 21 and discovers the ungodly reason his parents let him slide: they sold his soul to the devil before he was even born. Satan himself drops by to personally explain that Sam must now serve as his bounty hunter, tracking down evil souls that have escaped and returning them to Hell.

The series is executive produced by Michele Fazekas (Ed), Tara Butters (Ed), Mark Gordon (Grey’s Anatomy), Deb Spera (Criminal Minds), and Tom Spezialy (Desperate Housewives). It stars Bret Harrison (The Loop), Ray Wise (24),Tyler Labine (Invasion) and Nikki Reed (Thirteen). The pilot of Reaper was executive produced and directed by Kevin Smith (Clerks).

Both series were introduced at May’s LA Screenings and are produced by ABC Studios. The deal was brokered by Ford on behalf of Channel 4 and Powell for Disney-ABC International Television.
