A ‘New’ Charley Re-Enters Big Brother House After Fake Eviction

16th July 2007 Print
On Friday night, in the concluding act of fakery in Big Brother’s “Fake Week”, Charley was evicted then sent straight back into the house. Viewers had been voting since Tuesday as to whether Charley or Nicky should face the “fake eviction”, and in Friday’s 8:30pm show it was revealed that Charley received 75.8% of the vote.

Upon hearing the news Charley said “oh yes … thank you Davina. They weren’t booing that much…it weren’t as bad as I thought, it was quite mixed”. The housemates were suspicious however, with Carole saying “there’s something going on” and Ziggy adding “That was too weird, there was something about that that was just too weird”.

During tonight’s 10pm show Charley left the house, where she was greeted by Davina McCall and a silent crowd – wearing bowler hats and holding signs saying “This Is Not An Audience” in tribute to Belgian surrealist painter Magritte. “What’s going on guys? Where’s the cheers, man?” a bewildered Charley asked the silent crowd. “What the hell’s going? I’m freaking out!”

Charley was then interviewed by Davina where she was shown clips of who had nominated her, and Charley appeared shocked. She said she believed Ziggy was playing the biggest game and admitted that she was probably the most argumentative housemate.

Charley was then shown other moments from her time in the house, and told Davina she was embarrassed by her behaviour. “I feel so embarrassed. It probably made them feel like s**t…” she said.

When Davina asked if she would do anything differently if she had her time again, Charley answered “I would do everything differently …. be in the background, be quiet….”.

When Davina told her that the eviction was in fact a fake eviction Charley looked shocked, then said “oh no, you expect me to be a nice person now! …Hell yeah! Bring it on guys”.

Unaware to Charley, the housemates were watching her interview on a plasma screen and when it was revealed that Charley was returning to the house they looked shocked.

Charley then walked back through the crowd which this time booed her as she walked in. On re-entering the house, Charley was greeted by hugs by the twins, Carole, Brian, Nicky and Tracey, while the others still looked stunned. Gerry said “We watched the whole thing” as Charley told the others of her experience, exclaiming “Did you see the signs for me? … I love you all out there man! I tell you, it lets you know who your friends are…I’m going to do things differently”.
