Vivienne Westwood – “We need a new ethic”

On last week’s Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, first lady of British fashion Dame Vivienne Westwood said she hates the modern world.

"Parents should stop their kids playing with computers, make them do something more interesting.

"I don't like music, I think it's brain damage, I can't stand non-stop distraction at all, it's a major problem.

"I never read magazines, I just can't bear it, there's nothing to read in there.

"We need a new ethic, it's the only thing that will save us from disaster."

Looking back at her punk past, she said: "It's great to see young kids trying to look different but if you're still a punk when you're 30, there's something wrong with you!

"It would be difficult to do anything with such an impact ever again, my opinions now are poles apart from then."
