Jingle your way to stardom this Christmas
This Christmas Pringles is giving you and your family the chance to grab your 5 minutes of fame by starring in your very own TV advertisement. Jingles for Pringles is a nationwide contest that invites families and friends to record their own Christmas jingle. The best one will be turned into a 30 sec Pringles advertisement that will air on primetime TV on Christmas Day.To enter the contest all you have to do is video your own Pringles themed jingle, incorporating Pringles somewhere in the lyrics, and submit it online at pringles.com/jingles. Each week, from October 19th 2008 until January 4th 2009, one entry will win £2,000. In addition, those entries posted online before, before 23:59PM, December 7th 2008, will be reviewed by the judging panel and the best entry will win the grand prize and have their video turned into a professional advertisement suitable for TV. Jingles entered into the competition will be posted to the Jingles for Pringles website.
The competition is being fronted by Mr Christmas himself, Roy Woods, whose hit song I wish it could be Christmas everyday is one of the catchiest Yuletide pop songs ever written. Roy commented, 2Jingles for Pringles is a great competition to take part in at this time of year as it’s a fun way of bringing the family together. Families don’t need to be amazing singers all you need to do is come up with a catchy Pringles jingle and you’re bound to have a bit of fun doing it. You never know, you may even end up on TV!”
Families and groups can create their own special Pringles themed jingle for a chance to win this money can’t buy prize.
The Jingles for Pringles contest runs from October 17th until 7th December 2008.
