T4’s festive fun in the land of the rising sun

This Christmas, T4 has a whole host of seasonal celebrations to keep viewers in the festive mood. Steve, Miquita, Alexa and Rick will be on hand everyday from the 22nd December to 4th January with a fortnight of excitement that includes a week in Tokyo, Japan, as well as special interviews, performances and features to entertain viewers over the holiday period.

Guests lined up to appear on T4 include Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L Jackson and Eva Mendez with Kaiser Chiefs performing in the studio. There will be a look back at the best bits of T4 from 2008 including moments from V Festival, T4 On The Beach andT4 in Cannes. If you are a fan of T4's HONAR (Hollyoaks News And Reviews) then you'll be pleased to know that there will be a round-up of the highlights from 2008. There will also be the T4 Quizmas Tree, which is selection of special interviews where guests compete for points awarded for discussing subjects they’d never normally to talk about!

Week 1 (22nd to 26th December) with Rick and Alexa
Every morning T4 will be enjoying a traditional Christmas in the UK. Just like any modern couple Rick and Alexa have decided to split the locations: the first half of the week will be spent in a location of Alexa’s choosing (expect style and glamour), the second half in that of Rick’s (expect a modern bachelor pad....and cockroaches). Amongst the usual festive cheer, Rick and Alexa recreate their favourite Christmas movie moments with the help of one of Santa’s little helpers; share tips on preparing Christmas lunch on a budget; and celebrate the big day with Harry Potter star Emma Watson.

Weekend 1 and 2 (27th & 28th December and 3rd & 4th January) with Steve and Miquita
The 27th marks the start of T4’s first trip to the Land of the Rising Sun. Over each of the weekends Steve and Miquita will be battling ninjas, embedding themselves in the Japanese “geek culture”, fishing in the Japanese sea, taking a trip to Ice Cream City to sample some of the 300 flavours of ice cream (including octopus, chicken wing, and....salt), getting pampered by Japanese Maids (the modern geisha) and investigating the effect of Hollyoaks on Japan

Week 2 (29th to 2nd January) with Rick and Alexa
For the second week Rick and Alexa also jet off to Tokyo to celebrate the end of 2008 and the start of the new year with a host of treats, including karaoke with Craig David. Rick will be attempting to break the Japanese gadget market with his own invention, and also finds out who is better: the residents of Tokyo or him, in “Rick versus the Japanese People”; meanwhile Alexa will be taking a look at crazy Japanese fashion, and sampling some of the country’s culinary “delights”. New Year’s Day will of course be spent in style – on a boat tour of the Tokyo Bay with the presenters being waited on by geishas and treated to local hangover cures.
