Celebrate English Wine Week At Addendum

22nd May 2007 Print
Addendum restaurant, at The Apex City of London Hotel, 1 Seething Lane, London EC3, will be celebrating English Wine Week (26th May – 3rd June 2007) with a special three course menu, paired with glasses of fine English wines. The menu will be served at lunch and dinner throughout English Wine Week, and costs £45 per person.

The menu has been created by head chef Darren Thomas, who is known for his robust cooking, and features two choices of starters, main courses and desserts. Dishes include asparagus with Jersey Royals and elderflower dressing, which is paired with a glass of Rose Hill (a delicate and fruity, off-dry rosé); braised pork cheeks, orange glazed carrots, peas tortellini, served with a glass of Redland (a rich, full bodied, dry red); and lemon meringue pie, which comes with a glass of Surrey Gold (a fragrant, medium-dry white wine).

Addendum is a sophisticated dining room, with well spaced tables as well as banquettes which offer seclusion for business meetings or dinners à deux. Larger groups can also be accommodated in the private dining room.

The regular à la carte menu and set price lunch menu will be served alongside the special English Wine Week menu. The restaurant is open for lunch midday – 2.30pm, and for dinner 6pm – 9.30pm, Monday – Friday. Addendum also offers a separate, more casual all-day bar and brasserie.
