Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Bar Celebrates 15 Years With Brand New Look

Fifth Floor Bar Marking its 15th year as the fashionable watering hole of Knightsbridge, Harvey Nichols iconic Fifth Floor Bar, situated on the top floor of the flagship store, will be re-launching in Autumn 2007 with a completely new look inspired by the constructivist art of the early 20th century.

The new Fifth Floor Bar’s cocktail range, specially developed by the Fifth Floor team in collaboration with Stolichnaya, the authentic Russian vodka brand, will focus on the Stolichnaya’s range of premium vodka. For the most discerning clientele, the Fifth Floor Bar team will offer a bespoke vodka infusing service, whereby a Stolichnaya vodka can be infused with different ingredients to created a flavoured vodka to suit an individuals palate.

A range of seasonal vodka infusions will also be available such as Cucumber and mint tea, Pear and nutmeg or Vanilla and fig. A private ‘toasting room’ for 12, a red glass walled pod situated within the bar, will pay tribute to one of the most sociable Russian cultural traditions; vodka toasting.

To complement the new cocktail, wine and champagne drinks menu, the Fifth Floor Restaurant’s Swedish Executive Chef, Jonas Karlsson, has drawn on his native Baltic gourmet expertise to create a Harvey Nichols take on traditional Russian ‘Zakuskie’ (Russian style canapés), featuring the finest caviar and blinis, pel’meni, crab and lobster salads.

The Fifth Floor Bar’s famous central island bar will be retained and will feature a replica of the Tatlin Tower, the ultimate symbol of constructivist modernity, built of Stolichnaya bottles and steel. With a capacity of 100 the new look bar, with its sleek leather clad banquettes, crisp geometric wall designs and oversized lamps will create a warm, intimate environment.

The Fifth Floor Bar has also extended its opening hours to provide Londoners with a late night Knightsbridge venue, licensed from 11am until 3am, accessible by day through the store, or via dedicated express lifts from Sloane Street and Seville Street after store hours.
